  • Jim Zemlin headshot

    Jim’s career spans three of the largest technology trends to rise over the last decade: mobile computing, cloud computing and open source software. Today, as executive director of The Linux Foundation, he uses this experience to accelerate innovation in technology through the use of open source and Linux.

    At The Linux Foundation, Jim works with the world’s largest technology companies, including IBM, Intel, Google, Samsung, Qualcomm, and others to help define the future of computing on the server, in the cloud, and on a variety of new mobile computing devices. His work at the vendor-neutral Linux Foundation gives him a unique and aggregate perspective on the global technology industry.

    Jim has been recognized for his insights on the changing economics of the technology industry. His writing has appeared in Businessweek, Wired, and other top technology journals, and he is a regular keynote speaker at industry events. He advises a variety of startups, including Splashtop, and sits on the boards of the Global Economic Symposium, Open Source For America, and Chinese Open Source Promotion Union.

    Fog Dong is a senior engineer at BentoML, a maintainer of KubeVela, and a CNCF ambassador. With a strong focus on cloud native DevOps, Fog actively contributes to the open source community. Currently, she is dedicated to developing the fastest approach to building AI applications at BentoML. With previous experience at Alibaba, she led the construction of large-scale application workflows for the Serverless Application Engine Product. Additionally, her expertise extends to building cloud native CI/CD platforms from her time at Bytedance.

  • Kevin Wang (王泽锋) headshot

    Kevin Wang has been an outstanding contributor in the CNCF community since its beginning and is the leader of the cloud native open source team at Huawei. Kevin has contributed critical enhancements to Kubernetes, led the incubation of the KubeEdge, Volcano, Karmada projects in CNCF, actively participated in the TOC, and played a critical role in building and supporting the growth of CNCF technologies and the CNCF community in China.

    Whitney is a lovable goofball who enjoys understanding and using tools in the cloud native landscape. Creative and driven, Whitney recently pivoted from an art-related career to one in tech. She is active in the open source community, especially around CNCF projects focused on developer productivity. You can catch her lightboard streaming show ⚡️ Enlightning on Tanzu.TV. She also co-hosts the streaming show You Choose! –  a ‘Choose-Your-Own-Adventure’-style journey through the CNCF landscape. And not only does she rock at tech – she literally has toured playing in the band Mutual Benefit on keyboards and vocals.

    Viktor Farcic is a Developer Advocate at Upbound, a member of the Google Developer Experts and CD Foundation groups, and a published author. His big passions are DevOps, Containers, Kubernetes, Microservices, Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD). He is the host of the DevOps Toolkit (https://youtube.com/c/devopstoolkit) YouTube channel and a co-host of DevOps Paradox (https://www.devopsparadox.com/) podcast.

    Qing Liu is dedicated to researching and implementing cloud computing technology in finance. As head of the Agricultural Bank of China’s cloud-native technology team, he led the planning, construction, and operation of the platform. Through in-depth analysis of cloud-native financial business challenges, he built a platform with one cloud and multiple cores for unified computing power delivery, achieved cloud-native throughout the application lifecycle, serving agile financial business delivery.

    Li Yi (Mark), is the Director of Engineering for Container Service at Alibaba Cloud. Mark leads the product development and technical strategy for the container product portfolio at Alibaba Cloud. Previously Mark worked at IBM as Senior Technical Staff Member in cloud computing and middleware areas. He is now one of the representative in the CNCF Governing Board

  • Bill Ren headshot

    Bill Ren holds an EMBA and Master Degree from Peking University, and a CS Bachelor Degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University. Since Joining Huawei in 2000, Bill served as an Intelligent Network Research and Development Engineer, Product Manager and Architect of India Branch, General Manager of Business OSS, Vice President of Network OSS, Vice President of Network OSS Strategy and MKT, Vice President of Solution MKTG, etc. He has accumulated rich experience in R&D, marketing and product management.

    Mr. Ren Xudong (Bill Ren) serves as Director of Open Source and Developer Department and serves the Chief Open Source Liaison Officer of Huawei. In this role,he is fully responsible for responsible for using open source means to build industrial ecology, expand industrial space, build a healthy and harmonious industrial environment. Bill Ren serves as the vice chairman of the LFN board, board member of LF Edge, OIF and CNCF. He participated in the launch and building out of open source projects, such as ONAP, OPNFV, Akraino, OPEN-O, and EdgeGallery.

    Grace Lian leads Intel’s cloud native strategy and a global engineering team to develop cloud native open source software. She is responsible for driving Intel’s upstream contributions to CNCF and collaboration with cloud open source communities. Grace is an open source veteran; her first encounter began with managing Linux development when Intel started its China Linux OS Team in 2001. Grace is passionate about learning new technologies, mentoring and growing people.
